They are complimentary and the hand painted colors used on both lamps is the same. The patterns and design vary slightly and co-mingle rather than mimic one another. The detail of the hand painted lamp is intricate and unique with a lovely mixture of combined patterns and flowers. Each lamp is slightly different in size as well. One lamp stands 24-5/8" high from base to tip of finial and the other stands 24-3/4" high. These lamps are 7" deep and the diameter width at the widest point for both lamps is 23-1/4". Top plates measure 4-1/2" left to right, and the wood footed bases measure 5" left to right.
The brass cover plates on top are pitted and discolored to different degrees as shown in the pictures. Likely from cleaning and age. There are small scratches and scruffs in various places on the black rose wood bases of both lamps. None detract from the lamps beauty. Lamps are as seen - No lamp shades are provided with this pair of lamps. The gold gilding is bright and shows almost no fading. Lamp takes 60 watt bulb maximum. The wiring on one of the lamps has a connector jack that allows you to tie both lamps together so that you require only one plug in the wall. This feature works well for nightstand table or sofa side table applications. The electrical parts of the lamp work well and are in good overall vintage condition.
